Tipi is a private-first savings companion for iOS and Android. This policy explains what the app stores, which platform services may handle that information, and the choices available to you.

Tipi stores the buddy name you choose, manual savings entries, country and currency choice, language, reminder preferences, weekly goals, achievements, and app progress. This information is used only to provide Tipi's savings tracking, personalization, and reminder features.
Storage on iOS
The iOS app stores Tipi records locally using Apple SwiftData. If iCloud is available and enabled for Tipi, Apple CloudKit may sync those records across your Apple devices. Tipi does not operate its own account server.
Storage on Android
The Android app stores savings records in a local Room database and preferences in Android DataStore. Android may include this information in encrypted cloud backup or device-to-device transfer when you enable those system services. Tipi does not operate its own account server.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Tipi uses the time and options you choose to schedule local notifications on your device. Notifications are optional and are never used for advertising.
Collection and sharing
The developer does not receive, sell, rent, or share your Tipi records. Tipi contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDK, does not process payments or hold money, and does not send savings information to an external AI service. Apple or Google may process backup or sync data under their own terms and privacy policies when you use those platform services.
Retention and deletion
Records remain on your device until you edit them, use Reset Progress, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Some profile and reminder choices may remain after Reset Progress so your setup is preserved. Synced or backed-up copies are managed through your Apple iCloud or Google/Android backup settings and may follow the platform provider's retention schedule.
Children's privacy
Tipi is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because Tipi has no developer-run account or analytics service, the developer does not receive a child's savings records or profile choices.
